Are Publisher-side Optimizers Dead?

Just saw this release by PubMatic. Is this their own admission that RTB obviates the need for the publisher-side optimizers like PubMatic, Rubicon, and AdMeld?

From the release: Publishers generated significantly higher revenue from RTB campaigns in comparison to Non-RTB campaigns, across all advertising verticals, by an average of 64%.
